More About This
---

The Picture House is one of the best cinema chains available to us in London. Maybe it is because they take pride in using some of the best buildings to convert into cinemas, or maybe it is just because they understand more about what you want. Honestly, it probably isn’t the first place a young Londoner would pick when talking about where to go cinema. Most of us have that certain place that going to the cinema means anyway.

The Picture House has a huge following from Uni students, and has chosen to set up shop generally in Uni based areas. It’s simple to see why. Uni students that want to appreciate film, want to go to a cinema that appreciates them. This goes for everyone really though. That is where the House in their name comes into it! They treat you like you’re in doors. You can take a coffee in, lean the reclining chair back, relax and not have to worry about someone else’s popcorn imbedding itself into your new jeans.

The staff, oh wait till you meet the staff!

Ok, maybe that sub-heading is a little flattering, but they really do have good staff! These guys know their films, and are pretty useful when you want some popcorn. I can imagine before someone gets an interview for a job there, you have to complete a movie quiz “Question 1) what was the letter based name of Will Smith’s character in Men In Black?” Or at least something similar.

So if you’re a film fan, treat yourself to the right experience.

Agreed man. And taking a beer into a film - c'est parfait! the only thing lacking is the Sunday Free-for-members double bill that we get at the picturehouse here in Edinburgh. And the fact that it's a modern building - but you can't have everything i suppose.

Those damn kids, always with the noise...

There's no other cinema worth going to. All cinemas are expensive these days, but Picturehouse isn't silly money and is def worth it. plus, never had one of those "will those kids shut up" experiences
