Not just any pub my friends. No no no, this one is special. Matter of fact, this pub is lucky to be alive. Poor thing. The great Camden fire of Camden nearly demolished one of the coolest jam spots in the whole of London. In early 2008 The Hawley had to close, and was faced with being torn down. Thankfully through it's great London heritage the place was built with solid foundations, and was allowed to re-open.
The Hawley Arms has always been a popular pub among the Camden crowd, but in 2006 it saw a massive increase its social status. You see, The Hawley Arms was attracting a rather "in" crowd, known as celebrities, which in turn, gave the pub celebrity status. But whyyy? This pub has a really unique homely feel to it, where open fires burn, every customer is a is chilled out customer, and on the right nights, top bands perform to relaxed crowds. It's like a mini version of Glastonbury all year round and without the dirt.
The Hawley represents the difference between a pub and a club. You can party a Friday or Saturday (or both) nights away, but then come Sunday, their back serving roasts and you'll be happy to take your parents along.
