Greenwich Market is the bee's knee's for craft and food. On the weekends this place is absolutely packed, and you'll end up bumping into people at regular 3 second intervals. The market is a collection of small businesses selling often hand made goodies, from super cool keyring teddies to limited edition t-shirts. From time to time you do get the "aren't you going to buy that" look from a couple of the stall owners, but these people are easy to spot a mile away, often sitting there in a quiet stall reading a "stop smoking" self help book.
The Jewel in Greenwich Markets crown (see the royal link there!) has definitely got to be the food bit. Normally down the opposite side than my girlfriend insists walking through, because I know she just wants to look at all the stalls, is the best food market outside Borough. New places are popping up all the time there, but ever consistent is the amazing sushi on offer, cupcakes from the cupcake ladies and amazing olives from the olive guy. There's loads of cool quirky shops all over Greenwich, so if this is a "day thing" for you, make sure you check around cause there's a few little treats.
