The Trafalgar Tavern is the drinking place of choice for those who like a quiet drink in Greenwich. Popular with Greenwich University students, this place serves most drinks you can think of from the top of your head and also serve some pretty good food. Cheesy chips....hmmmm.
The tavern sits literally on the bank of the Thames. Although it is a great place to "have a pint" all year round, the outside area in summer really makes those alcohol tax increases seem almost bearable. For those who aren't popping in there in between lectures, the Trafalgar Tavern is still only a short walk away from Greenwich park. If however you have had one too many drinks and the park is too much to comprehend, there is a Kebab shop only 200 yards away, which should "steady the ship".
Greenwich really does have some gems, and this is one of them.
