The undisputed King of cinemas and the most impressive of roundabouts is certainly the BFI IMAX cinema near Waterloo train station. It is home to a MASSIVE cinema screen and a 12,000 watt sound system that would put most boy racers to complete shame. Watching a film here certainly is an experience like no other. You just get so immersed in the film...you feel like you were in it. You'll actually feel like that building James Bond just blew up was right in front of you.
When you first meet the IMAX cinema you'll be baffled on how to discover the door. But where there is a will there is a way. The helpful signposts should give you some clue, but we won't release the secret doors secret location here, oh no, part of the IMAX experience is indeed finding the way in. Once in though, you'll be in for the treat you expected.
We find it hard to admit there is a more impressive cinema chain than the glorious Picture House, but this one at least, in the middle of a busy roundabout in Lambeth...is.
