Iconic London, the symbol of this great city and the beacon of English history. Did you know a dude tried to blow this up once? It is only right that we celebrate the fact he didn’t with fireworks...big ones.
Some of you might say "dude...it’s a giant clock". And yes it is, but does anyone actually really see it that way. I remember standing next to it and asking someone if they had the time. I understand many moons ago it served a purpose as being a big clock and attempting to let everyone know what the time was (just a rumour), but now it’s only a clock on New Years Eve, between 11:50 ish and 12:01. For the rest of the year it goes back to being a beacon. And what a beacon.
Big Benjamin we salute you.
