Fopp is one of those really cool, smaller chain music store that makes shopping for music, dvd's, etc fun. It's actually as if you're in Virgin megastores back in the days when hippies would sit on bean bags and chill whilst listening to the latest releases. Owned by HMV, Fopp sell a wide range of exclusives and music you generally wouldn't find in most of the high street stores or in the big online players like Play.com. It really is a place of discovery and humour actually, lucky to still be alive after incompetent management nearly drove them into the ground.

They do live performances in the store as well, which is actually pretty hard not to get drawn to when walking past outside. It is as if something in your head just knows "that music isn't coming from speakers". And then no matter how "non my taste in music" the sound might be, you still wander in to see what is going on. Fopp create a music shop of which all music shops should take a "note" of. Excuse the pun...
