I feel good…na-na-na-na-na-na-na. The film season of 2009 is looking good. Right here, right now, we’re going to give you a glimpse of the biggest films to check out in the next few months. Don’t just go to any old cinema to watch them though, make sure you check out the Picture House cinemas. It’s nice when the cinema your at actually likes films.
Watchmen – March
Ok, so maybe this isn’t technically summer, how could we miss it out! Watchmen is sure to be the big release of March, directed by the dude that did “300” you have to be expecting something pretty jaw dropping. It’s an American superhero film, based on a mid 80’s comic book. The film is set in that time period, and is definitely a must-see film for anyone who enjoyed films like Spiderman and Sin City.
The Wolf Man – April
Remember the original? Hell no. But everybody knows the film. They’ve got Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins in this one. We have no idea what kind of age rating this one gets, but the older…the better!
Night at the Museum 2 – May
I got stuck in a Museum once and everything came to life. And there were these guys that wanted to steel a very rare Egyptian treasure with mystical powers, and some talking statue that only knew a few words. Wait a minute…
Number 2
Terminator Salvation - June
Batman (Christian Bale) turns into the dude to save the world from terrifying machines sent from the future (if you’re the person their after…if not…they’re pretty cool). This time however, they’re not sent from the future, we’re in the future. Sure to be an enormous smash hit, no matter how pants it really is.
Transfomers 2 - June
Just to answer the question on all the guys minds. Yes…she’s in this one to. Instead of fighting for earth, this time, it’s about the universe. In all honesty this is the only direction they could have took the film. Still can’t wait to see how they pull it off. All the best people are back and is being directed by the same dude that did number 1.
Ice Age 3 - July
Anyone who doesn’t think the squirrel is one of the funniest animated characters of all time thinks James Bond is a documentary and Roger Rabbit is in hiding. This time Mr Squirrel might have more than just an acorn to keep him busy!
This was our list of the biggest blockbusters hitting cinemas this summer. If you can think of any other films coming out, please do leave a comment telling us about it and we’ll try to add it right here.
